General Shipping Information:
We create handmade artisan chocolate, made from fresh, perishable ingredients.  We do not keep large quantities in stock.  We make our chocolate in small batches as close to shipment as possible. Please consider that this takes a little extra time, especially at the holidays.  Large and custom orders may take a week or more to process.  Please call or email us if you have a deadline.  We will do our best to accommodate rush orders.  Extra shipping charges may apply.

We ship to anywhere in the continental US. We do not currently ship to Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico or to APO/FPO addresses. Below are our shipping policies and procedures.

When it goes out the door:
To avoid having your chocolates sit in a warehouse, we only ship on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We will also ship overnight deliveries on Thursday, or on Friday for an extra Saturday delivery fee.  We cannot guarantee Monday deliveries.
Oh no, I’m melting!
For orders shipping to or through areas with temperatures of 72 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, an ice pack will be included to ensure that your chocolates arrive in perfect condition.  We will add an additional $5.00 - $12.00 (depending on the size of your order) for this special packaging to your shipping charges automatically.

Warm weather shipping is usually necessary May through August, but if you are shipping to a place that’s toasty (like CA, AZ, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL), then the warm weather shipping applies much sooner.

Hey, I wasn't expecting a package...

Surprise gifts are always wonderful and we certainly understand your desire to keep our tasty gifts a secret until delivery. We recommend, however, that you alert the recipient that a package will be arriving so he or she knows to accept delivery of the package. Then your recipient will be sure to say, "Aw, shucks, is that for me?" upon delivery. Would you like a gift card included?  We encourage you to leave a personal message in the "additional comments" area of the checkout.  We will handwrite your message on the card.

Whoops!
It would be a shame if your package were well-protected throughout the shipping process, only to be left on the hot doorstep of an empty home. We strongly encourage you to use an address where the package can be properly received and stored.  Hungry dogs, ants, or passersby could be a problem.  Consider having it mailed to a friend, neighbor or work address if you do not expect the recipient to be at home. We cannot be responsible for any damage or theft that occurs as a result of packages left on doorsteps.

You shipped it where?
We are only as good as the information you provide.  We cannot afford to absorb the cost of replacement for orders with erroneous shipping information. Please double-check all addresses!

Step away from the fridge!

For best taste, please don’t refrigerate your chocolates unless they seem a little warm, and then, only for a few minutes until they set. The moisture caused by temperature fluctuations can cause the cocoa butter to migrate to the surface of the chocolates; they will still be totally delicious.

Hey, we’re trying to save you some money here.
Shipping charges are highest for the first pound.  For the best value, why not talk to friends and family to see about combining an order, or just eat a more chocolate!

Gifts

When placing an order as a gift, please be sure to provide us with YOUR contact information, in case we need to contact you regarding the order. Also, please let us know if you would like a receipt to be included. As a default, we will NOT include a receipt with gifts shipped to an address that is different from the billing address.

To request a future delivery date
We welcome requests to have orders delivered on a particular date. To request a specific delivery date in advance, please note the date you would like the package to ARRIVE in the comments section during the check out process. We will do everything in our power to accommodate.  Please review our shipping guidelines to ensure on-time delivery.

Returns
Shipping companies charge us for mistakes and changes. The information you provide during the ordering process is untouched by us before shipping. Any changes after the order has been processed will result in an additional fee. If the shipment is undeliverable, or is not accepted by the recipient, we will also have to pass on the cost charged by the shipping companies (see "But I wasn't expecting a package..."). We will also need to apply shipping charges for any orders that are cancelled during shipment. Sorry, we’re a small company and want to keep our doors open.

We are not responsible for any damages to your chocolates from abuse or delays by UPS/FedEx/USPS or any other carrier.
